I Wonder... Would it be so different??

We all have those days we spend thinking of the "What If'", the "I wonder", right? Can't be just me. I do it from time to time. Don't get me wrong, I don't have any regrets. Well, maybe one, but nothing I wouldn't jeopardize the outcome I have in life thus far (not that it's a fantastic one but still).

I wish there was some sort of time machine or better yet an angel that comes down to show you how life would have turned out had you made a different choice. Why is it that only happens on TV Shows? So not fair. You see, I'd like to see how thing might have turned out if I made a different choice, but not really change what I did for real. I guess I'd like to see how some choices turn out because some of them were life changing indeed. For real. Come on, you know damn well if you had the option of seeing how things could have went (depending on what is was) you'd be curious.

For me, it's things like if my childhood girlfriend and I never got that abortion. How would that have turned out? Me with a kid? Wow, scary. What if I stayed at the Council on Foreign Relations instead of leaving? Well, I'm not sure anything different would have happened except I'd still be tired of it. Oh, what if the deal that got me the job at Macklowe Properties was a success and they didn't have to lay off pretty much all of us. Wow, that would have been something. I got to know so many people there. To tell you the truth, I don't think I have ever gotten over being laid off from there. Real Talk.

As you can see, with the exception of one major one, my "I Wonder" list isn't all that dramatic to see how it would have went had I chose differently. I think for the most part I would have still ended up right here were I'm at today. Is that a bad thing? Who's to say. Only one would have had a drastic impact on my life and that was if I actually had a kid. That's the one I'll always think about. Truth be told, to this day I think I was more in love with that girl than she was with me. But that's for another blog and another time.

So, am I the only one that has these type of thoughts??? Naaaaa, I know I can't be. Feel free to leave a thought of yours on the comments if you'd like. If you've gotten this far it's much appreciated as I'm just writing what's on the mind.

Thanks for reading.

Be back with another real soon...

Advice We Give, But Never Use

Why is it easier to help other people out with their problems or situations then it is to help ourselves out? I've thought about it from time to time and for the life of me can't understand why I can give the best advice for people to do but yet (even when I could use the same advice) don't use it. Its so crazy.

I find it amazing that we are the advisers and problem solvers to everybody else and yet we rarely take our own advice.  I remember I always had a friend of mine always message me with women issues and I'd give him the perfect ways to go about it and with me I do the exact opposite.  Give him the best ideas on what to say and where to go but didn't use my own advise.

"Believe that?????"

Most of us are always looking for advice from the next person when we know damn well we have the answers in our own head.  I really think I'd listen to a stranger on the train that knows nothing of my situation rather than listen to the voice in my head that would give me better advice.

Can you agree with this concept?  I would think 8 out of every 10 people will agree with what I'm saying.  I'm amaze myself with the advice I give and yet so puzzling when I can apply that same advice in my life for the same situation I'm going through but instead rather be stuck on "Duuuuh".

"Go Figure"

To this day my best advice I give and not use is (telling my brother) to break your bills down weekly (or bi-weekly, according to when you get paid) and just pay a small portion of your bill each time you get paid instead of once a month.  (Example, your cell bill is $100 then pay $25 each week). But in this situation neither of us do so we're both losing out.

Is there advice that you would usually give people about a certain situation and not use it yourself?  Are you the 2 out of 10 people that actually use your advice???  How lucky you must be.  It's one thing to second guess your gut (even though that's always right), but to not take your own advice is crazy!!!!  Yet I keep doing it.  Ugh.  Hahahaha  <----  sometimes that's all you could do.

Thanks as always for reading.  See you next time and please feel free to comment and tell me what you think and if you do what I do and not take your own advice or if you actually do take your own advice.
